Have you ever been perusing a cookbook, looking for that perfect new recipe to serve for a special meal? You find one that sounds promising, and after reading the ingredients, decide it will be delicious. How can you tell that it will be wonderful just by reading the preparation?
You just know.
Have you ever met a total stranger, and after a 10 minute conversation, realize you could easily be lifelong friends? How is this possible?
You just know.
Have you ever tried on several outfits, looking for just the right thing to wear for an important occasion? And then across the store, you spot it. The one that will make you feel like a million bucks, have you bursting with self-confidence and make you look ten pounds thinner. The outfit that will make your husband’s eyes light up when you enter the room. How do you know this outfit will do all of that?
You just know.
Then one day you see a picture hanging in the store where you work part time. It’s called Remembering Me, and she is beautiful. She will elevate your living room to a new level. Her colors will match everything in your décor and easily hold the wall. Every day when you are at work, you stare at her, knowing she would be perfect. You try to buy her, but they need her for the Parade of Homes. So they order you another one, and you wait.
Today, she arrived.
Before I could say “honey, could you please…” he had removed the other pictures from the wall and hung her up. And then we stood back to admire her in her new home.
She is perfect. She is lovely and graceful and beautiful. And she was definitely worth the wait, just as I knew she would be.
Because when you know, you know.
Good tidings,
Diane

Dear Diane,
I was surprised by all the modern art at the beginning of this blog. Where did you find it ?
I’m so glad that you are happy with the lady. It does look pretty.
